So, I have had this posed to my instagram for some time, but it is not reaching the right audience. These are my couples photography wannados! This post will be specifically talking about couples photoshoot themes I want to offer, and I plan to make all of these bookable directly through my website soon! In case you've come across this and want to book, I am based in Pitt Meadows, BC!

I LOVE shooting couples photos out in nature. And in BC, it really is hard to beat a mountain backdrop. But! These are some other theme ideas I want to shoot, and it could be with you and your partner!

Theme 1: The Record Shop

This is a theme I have been wanting to shoot since I began photographing couples! I love going to record shops and I have a few in mind that I want to shoot at. My partner and I have been collecting CD's and records since we started dating, so doing a couples shoot at a record shop is such a cute and fun idea that I would love to do this fall! There will be 2 slots available for this theme, 1 at each location!

 

Theme 2: The Cafe

This feels classy and classic. Timeless, cozy and cute! A perfect theme for a fall photoshoot. Get your pumpkin spice lattes, or London fogs, or just some black coffee, or whatever floats your boat! Snuggle up, and take some pics perfect for the autumn. If you and your partner love the fall, and love coffee, this is the perfect shoot for you! I have a few Cafe's in mind that I would personally pick for this, but this could be shot at almost any cafe. If you have a favourite cafe to go to, that would make it extra special!

 

Theme 3: Under the Hose

This is kind of a silly one. So simple but SO cute! I have seen a few people online shoot photos with this theme and I am obsessed! It is definitely a little more summery than the others on this list, but it is still a great choice and something I want to do at least next summer, if not this fall! I believe it can still be done, imagine it on a cloudy day!

 

Theme 4: The Garden Centre

This one I thought of while I was in a local garden centre earlier this summer. As I was looking around, I couldn't help but notice sooooo many good spots for poses for couples photos!! This would still be cute for fall, there is one garden centre I am thinking of specifically in Maple Ridge that I would love to shoot at!

 

Theme 5: On the Subway

A city-couple's classic! If you want to memorialize your time in the big city of Vancouver, this photo theme is a great one to pick! Imagine it mixed with some nighttime city lights photos <3 <3 <3 I LOVE! This would be a great one for this fall or winter!!

 

Theme 6: The Rainy Day

Now, I've left this one pretty vague in the title because I think doing a nature shoot is great, but a nature shoot in the rain?! STUNNING! PERFECT! EVERYTHING! Don't let the rainy Vancouver weather hold you back from the perfect couples shoot! Embrace it! A beach, the forrest, a random street with gorgeous fall colours. Anywhere looks great in the rain!

 

Theme 7: In the Car

When I tell you I literally had a dream about shooting this last night I mean it! This and an aquarium shoot, I dreamt about both. Shooting your couples portraits in and at the art gallery would be so classy, so timeless, so gorgeous. I am not sure what the logistics are of shooting in a busy art gallery but I WILL figure it out!

 

Theme 9: Home Sweet Home (+ Pets)

Now this one would be SO cute if you and your partner have your own little apartment, and some fuzzy friends, BUT! This could also be done if you just have you two and your home with no pets! I've been wanting to shoot some small family/pet family photos and shooting indoors in the fall on a rainy day all cozy... such a vibe.

 

Theme 10: Thrift / Antique Shop Date

Who doesn't love a good thrift shop or antique mall date? The retro, maximalist vibes are so amazing at an antique mall. Imaging vintage styling for your outfits taking pics in front of all the cool antique decor! SO stunning. If you're a maximalist couple, this is the shoot for you.

 

Theme 11: Twilight Inspired

The ultimate Autumn movie series. Twilight encapsulates romance in the rain, and being a photographer from BC, Canada, there are so many good locations that give that Pacific North West vibe. BONUS POINTS if you have an old truck!!
